Old v.s. New Media

The media advances over the years has been incredible. All media is advancing so fast from the advancement of telegraphs to cell phones, from writing on stone to sending newspapers all over the states, there are so many things that have advanced in media, and i believe its just going to get more advanced.
Before cell phones, computers and modern day newspapers, some of the only ways to spread media was smoke signals, word of mouth, and fireworks. Everything in media has advanced greatly in such a short period of time. For example, newspapers. They used to only be monthly newspapers or newspapers that were just written on stone or scribes. The only way newspapers would be issued more than once a month is if something really important happened in that area that absolutly needed to be shared with the public. Also with cell phones. We can now also make calls, texts, or surf the web whenever or whereever we want with the cell phone companies "smart phones". Cell phones only came out in the early 1990's, and there was no such thing as texting, or surfing the internet from your phone. They have came a long ways in such a short period of time. The internet is another thing that has advanced greatly. when the internet came out, only imporrtant buildngs, or scientists had access to the internet. Now, almost anywhere you go, they have internet. It also was a long dial up process that needed an ethernet cord in order to get online. Now we have wireless, wifi, and high speed internet access almost anywhere you go.
Overall, both the media and technology have advanced so much in such a short period of time. It is weird to think about how much more technology and media can advance. Does technology and media have limits? In my opinion, both media and technology will never have limits set to them. There will always be the next best technological device that comes out that helps media also advance.
